X-wing firing Laser Cannons
A Laser should not be confused with a Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation Beam (aka Laser Beam) - it actually operates on the same principle as a Blaster Cannon in that it is a particle beam weapon that fires a short burst particle beams through energized plasma. The Laser tends to be more powerful than it's Blaster Cannon counter part, but lacks the stunning capabilities. Lasers are considered a compact high energy weapon capable of great destructive capabilities.
Can be deployed from pistols to starship turrets.
